Acute Coronary Syndrome: Evaluation, Diagnosis, and Management

This talk will cover the evaluation of chest pain and diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome, with a focus on the criteria defined in the Universal Definition of Myocardial Infarction statement. There will be particular emphasis on the use of high-sensitivity troponin assays as recommended by contemporary guideline statements. Finally, we will review recommended approaches to invasive management of ACS (revascularization) and highlight contemporary medical therapies.
