Entering a New Age of MASH: Classifying, Risk-Stratifying, and Managing Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatohepatitis

This curriculum includes a 60-minute virtual session (coming soon) and two patient case study webcasts. These activities provide a comprehensive overview of steatotic liver disease, focusing on the latest nomenclature, diagnostic criteria, and clinical approaches for managing metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). Participants will gain an understanding of the natural history, risk factors, and cardiometabolic comorbidities associated with MASLD and MASH, as well as their potential health consequences. The curriculum also covers the use of noninvasive tools for effective risk stratification, management, and monitoring of patients. In addition, clinicians will learn to apply current guideline-directed treatment strategies, emphasizing risk factor reduction and the management of comorbid conditions to optimize patient outcomes.
