Biography

Born and raised in northeast Ohio, Dr. Michael Zell earned a degree in Engineering at Stanford University where he served as captain of the lacrosse team. After a few years spent in the financial sector in San Francisco and a brief foray as a chef at a 14th century Tuscan castle, he received his medical degree at University of California, San Diego and completed both General Surgery internship as well as Urology residency at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Zell joined the faculty at University Hospitals Urology Institute in Cleveland, Ohio in 2020. Dr. Zell specializes in minimally invasive urologic surgery with a special emphasis in Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate.
