Biography

Dr. Woodmansee has dedicated her career as a physician-scientist to the care of the neuroendocrine patient by focusing on the pursuit of excellence in research, education and clinical care of patients with pituitary disorders. She is currently the Director of the Clinical Neuroendocrine Program at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA where she specializes in treating patients with pituitary / neuroendocrine problems. She completed medical school, residency and a fellowship in Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and was faculty there until her move to Boston. Dr. Woodmansee has been involved in both basic science and clinical research and has numerous publications in the pituitary/thyroid field. She oversees several clinical trials related to pituitary disease. She currently serves as member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology Pituitary Scientific committee and is the Neuroendocrine section editor for Current Opinion in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Obesity. She is an active member of the Pituitary Society, Endocrine Society, American Thyroid Association and American Association of Clinical Endocrinology. Her current primary research interest is in the area of hypopituitarism and peri-operative management of pituitary patients.
