Biography

Michael Wagner, M.D., is currently a Primary Care Ultrasound Fellow at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Ultrasound Institute. Dr. Wagner completed his medical education at Eastern Virginia Medical School and his residency at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and is board certified in Internal Medicine. Prior to the ultrasound fellowship, he spent 3 years serving as the Internal Medicine consultant for the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute in Pensacola, FL. Dr. Wagner has also been published in the journal Aviation, Space, and Environmental Medicine. Currently his main academic focus is the advancement of point-of-care ultrasound training for use in both outpatient and inpatient settings, as well as in operational and austere medical environments.
