Biography

Dr. Vgontzas received her medical degree from Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania. She completed Neurology residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine – Montefiore Hospital (Bronx, New York) and headache fellowship at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School. She is an Assistant Professor in Neurology at Harvard Medical School and practices general neurology and headache medicine at the Graham Headache Center and at Southern Jamaica Plain Community Health Center. She has spent dedicated time in the research of migraine and pain since a research internship at the NIH in 2005 and her work is reflected in numerous peer-reviewed publications on sleep, stress and migraine.
