Biography

Saad Zafar Usmani, M.D. is a board-certified Hematologist who received his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree at Allama Iqbal Medical College at the University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. Dr. Usmani completed his Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship at the University of Connecticut Health Center. Dr. Usmani served as Assistant Professor of Medicine at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, then a Clinical Professor of Medicine at UNC-Chapel Hill School of Medicine. Today, Dr. Usmani continues to serve as a Professor of Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College and currently works as a full-time Hematologist Oncologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Usmani has published over 250 peer-reviewed articles and has had numerous abstracts presented presented at both the American Society of Hematology (ASH) and American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) meetings., hematology oncology international conferences. Dr. Usmani also serves on the editorial committee for multiple clinical oncology journals. He is also an active member of the International Myeloma Society where he continues to advocate for early diagnosis and treatment for myeloma patients.
