Neurocritical Care Physician

Biography

I am an academic neurointensivist and clinician scientist at BWH and Harvard Medical School, focused on predicting and improving outcomes for brain-injured patients. I have clinical training in neurocritical care and research experience in diffusion MRI, statistical modeling, and measuring outcomes after brain injury. My overarching goal is to build neuroanatomically-informed prognostic models for patients with acute brain injury. Ultimately, I aim to translate such models into better outcomes for brain-injured patients by improving clinical care, meaningfully stratifying patients in clinical trials, and informing the design of targeted therapeutics. My clinical work in the Neurointensive Care Unit and Neurorecovery Clinic have made me aware of the unique needs of patients with acute brain injury and motivated me to develop interventions with practical utility in the intensive care unit.
