Biography

Dr Raphael provides clinical care in the division of Adolescent Medicine at Texas Children’s Hospital (TCH). She also serves as the Medical Director for Adolescent Medicine at the Baylor Teen Health Clinics, which is a system of eight free community and school-based clinics for adolescents and young adults. She has received federal and local grant funding for research focused on improving access to high quality reproductive healthcare among Medicaid, low income, and uninsured youth. In her time as a BCM faculty member she has provided clinical teaching, through over 100 formal didactic sessions, and mentorship to residents, medical students, advanced practice providers, and fellows. She currently serves as an editor for the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Grand Rounds journal and AAP - Adolescent Medicine Pediatrics Review and Education Program (PREP) which provide educational assessments and evidence-based summaries of recent adolescent health research for pediatricians nationally.
