Biography

I am Associate Director of Clinical Research for the Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center and Chief of Hematology and Oncology at Harris Health’s Ben Taub Hospital/Smith Clinic. In my role as Associate Director I oversee the Clinical Trials Unit, the Disease Working Group and Clinical Program Committees and the Data Review and Monitoring Committee. I am an active clinician and particularly enjoy my time at Harris Health caring for underserved patients. I am actively involved in clinical research and have interests in GU malignancies and hematologic malignancies. Together with Dr. Hoda Badr, I am co-PI of the NIH funded OPTIMISE study designed to explore new paradigms in cancer survivorship care.
