Biography

Gagan Mahajan, MD, is the clinical medical director of the Division of Pain Medicine and professor of anesthesiology and pain medicine at the University of California, Davis Medical Center, Sacramento, California. He received his medical degree from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and completed his internship in internal medicine at Loma Linda University Medical Center, Loma Linda, California. Dr Mahajan served a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas. He completed his fellowship training in pain medicine through the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the University of California, Davis Medical Center and is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and in Pain Medicine, both through the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr Mahajan has co-authored peer-reviewed articles in medical journals, book chapters, and other scholarly reviews.
