Biography
Walter F. Lambert, MD is a pediatrician with the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine; he is an associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics and the Medical Director of the UM Child Protection Team (Miami-Dade County and the Florida Keys) as well as the Child Protection Team of Southwest Florida (Lee, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades counties), state-mandated multi-disciplinary groups of forensic experts who evaluate case of alleged child maltreatment (abuse and neglect). In addition to active clinical activities, Dr. Lambert was lectured nationally and internationally on the issues related to child abuse and domestic violence. He served two terms on the Board of Directors of APSAC (The American Society on the Abuse of Children). He is also the Associate Statewide Medical Director for Child Protection in Florida.
