Biography

Dr. Krogstad has a joint appointment as a Professor in the Departments of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He is a member of the UCLA AIDS Institute and the International AIDS Society, and is a recipient of the Elizabeth Glaser Scientist Award from the Pediatric AIDS Foundations. He has been involved in AIDS research since 1990, and has lead studies to understand the mother child transmission of HIV, and to develop multidrug therapy for infected children and adolescents. His laboratory studies are now focuses on AIDS Vaccine development, and the immune function of adolescents and young adults who have lived with HIV infection since infancy.
