Biography
Dr. Kichul Ko joined the Rheumatology Faculty at the University of Chicago in 2014 as Assistant Professor and directs the Lupus Center with his colleauge, Dr. Kimberly Trotter. He is in charge of the fellowship's lupus clinic and is highly involved in mentoring trainees who are interested in pursuing clinical research in lupus. He is currently participating in multiple clinical trials and in a national longitudinal registry in SLE. He is also active in lupus nephritis research with Dr. Marcus R. Clark, where he is stuyding various cells and pathways involved in kidneys affected by SLE. Dr. Ko hopes to try and bridge gaps between pathways being discovered in the lab with clinical outcomes in order to advance understanding and ultimately improve patient care in lupus.
