Biography

Dr. Johnson completed medical school at the University of Minnesota followed by an Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He has published numerous peer reviewed articles on various topics such as Crohn’s and Colitis, colorectal neoplasia, and use of Cologuard in clinical practice. He currently serves as the Medical Director of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy at the Kootenai Clinic in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Dr. Johnson is passionate about patient care, colorectal cancer screening, and quality of endoscopies. He emphasizes the significance of educating both patients and providers on the importance of colorectal cancer screening, screening options, and selecting the best test for the patient.
