Biography

Amanda Fifi, MD graduated from University of West Indies Medical School and completed her residency in pediatrics and fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial Hospital. She went on to pursue her passion in pediatric nutrition by becoming a board-certified pediatric nutrition specialist. She is the Director of Pediatric Nutrition at University of Miami and has conducted several research projects and published manuscripts on topics in pediatric nutrition like obesity, parenteral nutrition and short gut syndrome, specialized diets, celiac disease, and how diet relates to abdominal pain syndromes in children. She runs a specialized nutrition clinic at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial caring for infants, children and adolescents with a broad range of nutrition issues.
