Biography

Dr. Conrad is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Section of Infectious Diseases at Baylor College of Medicine and a staff physician at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas. Dr. Conrad received his medical degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine and completed internal medicine residency at UTMB in Galveston, Texas and infectious disease fellowship at UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. He completed an additional year of training in medical microbiology in the Department of Pathology at UT Southwestern. Dr. Conrad provides patient care in an HIV/primary care clinic and a travel medicine clinic at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center. He has an interest in medical education with a focus on microbiology and infectious disease diagnostics. In addition, Dr. Conrad has a clinical and research interest in non-tuberculous mycobacterial infections.
