Biography
Dr. Erin Cobain is an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center. She serves as the Co-Chair of the Breast Cancer Clinical Research Team. In her clinical practice, Dr. Cobain treats patients with breast cancer and also those with inherited cancer predisposition in the Breast and Ovarian Cancer Risk Evaluation Program. Her research focuses on identifying those with high risk of developing breast cancer and personalizing therapy for those with a breast cancer diagnosis through genetic and genomic testing. She works closely with colleagues at the University of Michigan and the SWOG Cancer Research Network to develop clinical trials that incorporate tumor biomarker testing to personalize cancer therapy.
