Endocrinology and Diabetes Medical Director, Diabetes Education Services Eisenhower Medical Center Rancho Mirage, CA Helen L. Baron, MD, is Medical Director of Diabetes Education Services, Clinical Endocrinologist, and Attending Endocrinologist at Eisenhower Health in Ranch Mirage, California. She also serves as Chief Medical Officer and Executive Vice President at The Torvus Group in Beverly Hills, California. Dr Baron received her MD from University of Southern California, Los Angeles, and completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in endocrinology at LAC+USC Medical Center in Los Angeles. She is board certified in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism. Dr Baron is a member of the American Diabetes Association, American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, American Thyroid Association, and International Society for Clinical Densitometry. Dr Baron served as principal investigator or co-principal investigator on several research projects related to type 2 diabetes and has presented at dozens of national and international meetings. She coauthored articles published in the peer-reviewed Journal of Family Practice and Diabetes Care in addition to a book chapter on thyroid disorders.
