Biography

Dr. Balakrishnan is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, a staff gastroenterologist at Ben Taub Hospital and funded physician-investigator. Her clinical practice spans the breath of general Gastroenterology with special expertise in general Hepatology. Her research program focuses on health behaviors and developing scalable, effective behavioral interventions for patients with chronic liver disease, with a special focus on medically underserved populations.
