Painful Orthopedic Complaints in Primary Care
Description
Musculoskeletal complaints account for 10% to 15% of all visits to primary care physicians, and 70% of all new musculoskeletal injuries are treated by primary care physicians. This lecture will review common painful orthopedic complaints that are seen in the primary care setting. The case-based presentation will provide you with pearls for your clinical examination, development of a comprehensive differential diagnosis, and keys for management of these conditions.

- Identify common causes of lateral hip pain and develop appropriate management strategies for each condition
- Understand the pathophysiology of plantar fasciitis and provide comprehensive treatment recommendations
