Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to identify advantages and disadvantages of current pain management therapies in order to optimize treatment for those patients with moderate to moderately severe chronic pain; and review how emerging technologies, including extended-release agents, can lead to improved outcomes in patients with chronic pain.
 

After completing the CME activity, participants should be able to: 

Increase their planned frequency of use (as compared with their current frequency of use) of the following evidence-based provisional RA diagnosis and patient care strategies:

--Use of a focused physical examination and functional assessment questions

--Use of appropriate laboratory tests

--Early referral to the rheumatologist when RA is suspected

--RA patient monitoring strategies such as reviewing RA patient immunizations

--Coordinating patient care with a relevant specialist to ensure the best quality care

Have increased confidence in their ability to accurately diagnose and monitor patients with RA

Participants should be able to address weight gain related to insulin therapy and present regimen options to minimize weight gain, including insulin type and administration time.
