Biography
Dr. Townsend directs the HypertensionProgram at Penn. His research interests are in vascular compliance and CKD progression and CKD complications. His clinical practice includes drug resistant hypertension, secondary hypertension, and in particular adrenal disorders. He is an empanelled member of JNC2013 and a co-chair of the American Heart Associations 2013 Hypertension Summer School.
