Biography
Brent Schnipke is an Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. His clinical work is as a psychiatrist in the Division of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry at Northwestern University, where he is an attending on the CL service and serves as the Associate Director of the Addiction Consult Service. He graduated medical school and general psychiatry residency from Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, OH where he was chief resident. He completed consultation-liaison psychiatry fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. His clinical areas of interest include general CL psychiatry, addiction medicine, peripartum psychiatry and women's mental health. His academic areas of interest include resident and medical student education, destigmatization of addiction and substance use disorders, bioethical issues in psychiatry, and medical humanities. He has published and presented on topics in addiction medicine, psychiatry, and education at national conferences.
