Biography
A longtime contributing editor of Medical Economics magazine, Dr. Roy is in solo practice in Muskegon, MI. As a member of a local physician-hospital organization, she has been actively involved in discussions with health plans about their pay-for-performance programs, and she contracts with plans that offer P4P bonuses. From 1981-1997, Dr. Roy held a number of positions at Muskegon General Hospital, including chief of staff, vice-chair of the department of general practice, and trustee. She has also been on the board finance committee of Mercy General Health Partners, the hospital with which she's currently affiliated. Dr. Roy attended Michigan State University's College of Osteopathic Medicine, receiving her diploma in osteopathic medicine in 1981 and her board certification in family medicine in 1989.
