Biography

Dr. Radha Rao is an Assistant Professor at Baylor college of Medicine in the Internal Medicine department and a staff physician at the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans administration hospital right here in Houston. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at SUNY Downstate and Geriatrics fellowship from Baylor College of Medicine .She rotates on the inpatient wards and in the outpatient clinics. She spends a significant amount of time in the outpatient clinics in Primary care and engages in shared decision making discussions with patients regarding screening guidelines on a daily basis. In addition she serves as the Lead clinician for Tobacco Cessation at the VA hospital and devotes time to creating policy and outreach programs in this area.
