Biography

Dr. John Richard Pittman, Jr. is a graduate of the University of Mississippi Medical School who completed residency and chief residency at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas. He joined the Division of General Medicine at Emory University in 2009 after 16 months of HIV care in Mbabane, Swaziland with Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Pittman’s interest in technology began as a hobby, and has grown to serving as a an EPIC physician Champion at Grady Memorial Hospital. In this role he serves as a liaison between clinicians and the EPIC electronic health record technical team. Dr. Pittman has presented his talk on mobile technology to faculty and residents at Emory and at the ACP chapter meeting last October.
