Biography
Dr. Peebles is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Vanderbilt University, where he holds the Elizabeth and John Murray Chair in Medicine. He is a specialist in allergy/immunology, pulmonology, and critical care medicine with research interests in allergic and virally-induced lung inflammation. Dr. Peebles earned his MD from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, where he also completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in pulmonology and critical care medicine, and also completed a fellowship in allergy and clinical immunology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and a member of the American Thoracic Society and serves on the editorial board of the American Journal of Respiratory Cell and Molecular Biology.
