Biography

Dr. Fernando Pedraza MD - FASN is a Transplant Nephrologist with 10 years of experience. He completed his medical education in Universidad de Caldas, (Manizales-Colombia), Internal Medicine Residency at Mountainside Hospital, (Montclair-NJ), Nephrology and Hypertension at the University of Miami-Miller School of Medicine and Fellowship in Transplant Nephrology at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr Pedraza joined the Miami-VA in his second tenure in 2021 and since then, he holds the position of Dialysis Director. He is part of the Nephrology faculty at the University of Miami Katz Family division of Nephrology. He has interests in Medical Education, Dialysis therapies as a bridge to transplant, Donor and Recipient Matching and Pre/Post-Transplant renal care.
