Biography

W. Frank Peacock IV, MD, FACEP, FACC, FESC is a Professor of Emergency Medicine and Vice Chair of Research for the department of Emergency Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, in Houston, Texas. With >800 peer reviewed publications, William Frank Peacock (researchgate.net), predominantly on emergency medicine and cardiovascular conditions, he is also the co-editor of the textbooks Cardiac Emergencies, Short Stay Management of Heart Failure, Short Stay Management of Chest Pain, Short Stay Management of Atrial Fibrillation, and Biomarkers of Traumatic Brain Injury. Dr. Peacock is a 3-time winner of the Best Research Paper Award of the Year from the American College of Emergency Physicians and the Ray Bahr Award for cardiovascular excellence from the American College of Cardiology. He continues to serve as PI or co-PI for many high profile national and international clinical trials, including enrolling >40,000 patients in Covid-19 biomarker trials, and being the global PI for the HEADSMART II trial, one of the largest currently enrolling diagnostic TBI biomarker trials in the world. He is also the founder of Comprehensive Research Associates, LLC (a contract research organization), Emergencies in Medicine, LLC (a medical education company), and AseptiScope, Inc (a stethoscope hygiene company). Finally, Dr. Peacock received his medical degree from Wayne State University Medical School and completed his Emergency Medicine training at William Beaumont Hospital, Detroit, Michigan.
