Biography

Dr. Ana Palacio is clinician investigator at the University of Miami. Her areas of interest include reduction of health disparities in cardiovascular care and outcomes, behavior modification strategies particularly to improve medication adherence among minority populations and evaluation of alternate models of care to improve quality of care. She currently has two large ongoing studies evaluating the impact of Motivational Interviewing on medication adherence among minority populations with cardiovascular risk factors or known coronary artery disease (post coronary stent placement).
