Biography
Dr. Barry Nierenberg is an Assistant Professor at the University of Miami School of Medicine. His primary appointment is within the Department of Family Medicine & Community Health, where he currently directs the Division of Behavioral Medicine. He holds secondary appointments in the Departments of Psychiatry, and Pediatrics. Dr. Nierenberg is a Diplomat of the American Board of Professional Psychology and is Past President of the Division of Rehabilitation Psychology of the American Psychological Association. He served as Chairman of the Brain & Spinal Cord Injury Advisory Council of the State of Florida, where he continues to Co-Chair the state wide Pediatric Committee. Recently, he was appointed by the State Secretary of Health to the newly formed Executive Board for this Council.
