Biography
Dr. Newman-Toker graduated from Yale University (B.S.1991) and the University of Pennsylvania (M.D.1995), before training in Neurology and Neuro-ophthalmology at Harvard University. He went on to complete a fellowship in Neuro-otology and doctoral training in Clinical Investigation at Johns Hopkins University (Ph.D.2007). He is Assistant Professor of Neurology and Otolaryngology, with joint appointments in Emergency Medicine, Health-Sciences Informatics, Ophthalmology, and Epidemiology. Dr. Newman-Toker's clinical expertise is in diagnosis of disorders affecting the brainstem and cranial nerves, including visual loss, double vision, and dizziness. Dr. Newman-Toker's research focuses on recognition and prevention of diagnostic errors using informatics tools at the point of care.
