Biography

Thomas Murphy, Medical Doctor, Certified Principal Investigator, is a Colorado native who received his undergraduate education in Chemical Engineering. Inspiration during a National Institutes of Health fellowship encouraged his attendance of Loyola University of Chicago Medical School. Residency at Tulane University and at Tufts University was followed by a three year Allergy and Immunology Fellowship at Harvard’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA, where bench to bedside and basic science research complemented strong clinical training. Presently, Dr. Murphy is a partner at National Allergy, Asthma, and Urticaria Centers of Charleston, SC, where he is active in clinical practice and in research helping to bring emerging therapies to market. Dr. Murphy is active on many allergy/immunology advisory boards and speaker’s bureaus. Affiliation at the Medical University of South Carolina as a Clinical Associate affords him the opportunity to teach medical students and residents as well.
