Biography
Patricia (Trish) Montesinos is a nurse practitioner who is certified in diabetes care and education as well as advanced diabetes management. She completed her undergraduate studies in nursing at Georgetown University and subsequently obtained a MSN degree in family practice from the University of Maryland. Trish has over 10 years of experience as a NP with a focus on adult endocrinology and diabetes. Currently, she works at the Medstar Diabetes Institute in Washington, D.C. on the Pathway Program, which is an innovative, technology-enabled program focusing on improving glycemic control and reducing healthcare utilization for high-risk adults with uncontrolled type 2 diabetes. Trish presented at the ADA's 81't Scientific Sessions on the topic of utilizing technology to connect the diabetes management care team and is a faculty presenter for Pri-Med on the topic of continuous glucose monitoring. She has been featured in podcasts including the Know Diabetes by Heartâ„¢ collaboration by the ADA and the AHA and The Huddle: Conversations with the Diabetes Care Team podcast series by ADCES
