Laura Melaro

Biography

Laura Melaro, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, is a Board-Certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Director of Integrated Behavioral Health for Hardeman County and Henderson/Stanton Community Health Centers in West Tennessee. She has practiced at and consulted for many psychiatric and integrated behavioral health programs. Dr. Melaro earned her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing and her Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Dr. Melaro is a national speaker, presenter, and consultant on quality improvement models, integrated behavioral health, and telehealth delivery and incorporation in graduate health professional education. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA) and the American Nurses Association. She is a past member of the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF) and the Tennessee Advanced Nurse Practitioner Association. She is Past President of the APNA Tennessee Chapter and Past Co-Chair of the NONPF Psychiatric Mental Health Special Interest Group.
