Biography

Dr. Maurer is an Associate Professor of Medicine and the Director of the Clinical Cardiovascular Research Laboratory for the Elderly at Columbia University Medical Center. His research focuses on age related changes in cardiovascular structure and function that underlie the development of disorders that disproportionately afflict older adults, including disordered blood pressure regulation and heart failure in the setting of a preserved ejection fraction.
