Biography
Dr. Jan de Beur is Chief of Endocrinology at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and Assistant Professor of Medicine at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She received her B.A. and M.D. from Cornell University. Dr. Jan de Beur completed her Osler Medical Residency and Endocrinology Fellowship at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. As a physician scientist, Dr. Jan de Beur is actively engaged in NIH-funded, translational research that explores the molecular basis of renal phosphate wasting syndromes and parathyroid hormone resistance syndromes. Her work has culminated in publication in top journals, numerous review articles and book chapters. To continue to bring a fresh, bedside perspective to her research, Dr. Jan de Beur leads an active clinical practice that focuses on metabolic bone disease.
