Biography

Dr. Gowda is Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Columbia University, College of Physicians ans Surgeons, where he practices general medicine and teaches residents in the Primary Care medicine clinic. He directs Foundations of Clinical Medicine, which introduces students to advanced history taking, the physical examination, and clinical reasoning. He gives a regular lecture on cancer screening to the Columbia internal; medicine residents. He recently appointed to the New Yorki City Board of Health.
