Biography

Dr. Ileen Gilbert is Senior Medical Director of Respiratory Medical Affairs at AstraZeneca. She is Physician Lead for AIRSUPRA, PRECISION, and Symbicort. Prior to working with AstraZeneca, Dr. Gilbert was a Professor of Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where she served as Director of the Internal Medicine Program in Obstructive Lung Diseases for 13 years. Dr. Gilbert earned her medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at University Hospitals of Cleveland. She has co-authored a number of peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and abstracts. Dr. Gilbert has received numerous honors and awards throughout her career, including AstraZeneca’s Circle of Excellence Award in 2019 and the AstraZeneca BBU Excellence Award in Patient Centricity in 2020.
