Biography

CEO and Founder of Access Healthcare. Originally from Wake County, he attended UNC Chapel Hill for medical school and specialized in family and community medicine in the residency program at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem where he also completed his internship. He is an American Society of Hypertension Certified Hypertension Specialist and his special interests include management of chronic diseases like Diabetes, and Cholesterol. Dr. Forrest completed a Holderness Medical Research Fellowship and an Albert Schweitzer Fellowship while At UNC Chapel Hill. He is a pioneer in the Direct Primary Care Model, having originated the Micropractice DPC Model over 18 years ago. He has extensive experience in teaching, lecturing, and consulting about the model for individuals, medical schools, health systems, and practices.
