Biography
Dr. Gregory Dumanian is Chief and Program Director of the Division of Plastic Surgery at the Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine. He is professor of surgery, with adjunct appointments as professor in neurosurgery and orthopedic surgery. His groundbreaking work on targeted reinnervation has allowed arm amputees improved prosthetic function, and was featured on the cover of the prestigious journal Lancet, the New York Times, the New Yorker Magazine, and National Geographic. His specialties include hand and peripheral nerve surgery, microsurgery, abdominal wall reconstruction, as well as aesthetic surgery. A native Chicagoan, Dr. Dumanian has spent his entire surgical career at Northwestern.
