Biography
Dr. Cox is the Carl W. Walter Distinguished Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Cox received his undergraduate education at the University of the Witwatersrand and his M.D. from Harvard Medical School in 1970. A nephrologist by training and an educator by inclination, he has clinical teaching appointments at Brigham and Women's Hospital, the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Cambridge Hospital. Dr. Cox is the recipient of numerous awards for teaching excellence and is a frequent speaker at local and national continuing medical education programs.
