Biography

Dr. Cheifetz is currently the Clinical Director of the Center for Inflammatory Bowel Disease at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, and other forms of inflammatory bowel diseases. In addition to his clinical work, he is involved in multiple research projects relating to IBD and has published numerous articles on the subject. He is also actively involved with teaching and mentoring of medical students, residents, and fellows and runs a monthly inter-departmental Inflammatory Bowel Disease Conference. He is also Director of the Gastroenterology Clerkship Elective at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
