Biography

Dr Ballard trained in general Pediatrics at Children's National Medical Center, practiced pediatrics in academic, community and public health settings, and then trained in adult and child psychiatry. She practiced both pediatrics and child psychiatry while Director of Behavioral Health at a large Federally Qualified Community Health Center in Texas. She is currently a clinical assistant professor of psychiatry at Lurie Children's Hospital, and developing a study on pregnancy and mental health disorders in teens. She is also interested in furthering integrated care models for mental health in community clinics.
