Medical Director, Ascension Illinois Medical Group Weight Solutions Schaumburg, Illinois Anthony M. Auriemma, MD, JD, FOMA, is the medical director at Ascension Illinois Medical Group Weight Solutions in Schaumburg, Illinois. He is also an attorney at law in the state of Illinois. Dr. Auriemma earned his medical degree at the Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine and his law degree from the John Marshall Law School (now the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law), both in Chicago, Illinois. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Dr. Auriemma is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice, the American Medical Association, the Illinois Academy of Family Practice, the Illinois Obesity Society, the Illinois State Medical Society, and the Obesity Medicine Association. He has presented at industry conferences, including the American Academy of Pediatrics national meeting. His research has been published in journals including Bariatric Times, Obesity, and Obesity Pillars. Dr. Auriemma is also a family medicine category recipient of the Gold Foundation Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award from the University of Illinois College of Medicine.
