Biography

Dr. William Ares is a cerebrovascular neurosurgeon at NorthShore University HealthSystem in Evanston, IL. He completed his neurosurgical residency and endovascular neurosurgery fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He has a number of clinical and research interests including the management of brain aneurysms and other cerebrovascular diseases as well as the endovascular treatment of stroke. He is the author of more than 30 peer reviewed articles including publications in the Journal of Neurosurgery and the Journal of Neurointerventional Surgery. Dr. Ares sits on the Medical Advisory Board of the Brain Aneurysm Foundation.
