Biography

Dr. Andrade-Bucknor is a board-certified non-invasive cardiologist and Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She received her medical degree from the University of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica where she is from. She did her internship at SUNY-Downstate in Brooklyn, New York, and completed Internal Medicine residency and fellowship at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. She joined the faculty on completion and has served as an educator for students, residents and fellows. Dr. Andrade-Bucknor has over 24 years’ experience in Clinical Cardiology, covering a wide range of conditions including coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, arrhythmias and heart failure. She is also board certified in echocardiography and is the Medical Director of the cardiac rehabilitation at UHealth. She is passionate about health equity including a focus on women’s cardiovascular disease. Outside of work she enjoys running, spending time with her family, reading and traveling.
