Overview

This presentation will review how to recognize, diagnose and manage MASLD in the primary care setting. Specifically, it will provide guidelines on screening, evaluation and diagnosis of suspected MASLD, and risk stratification. It will also review primary care management of NAFLD, including use of medications with potential benefit for the disease. Lastly, it will provide guidelines on when to refer patients with MASLD to hepatologists and what to expect in a patient that co-managed with a specialist.
